Planting and Spacing Calculators
Plan how plants occupy rows, beds, borders, orchards, and mixed plantings.
Match the layout to the question
Spacing can describe distance between centers, plants per row, usable bed area, or a reserve for establishment loss. Select the page whose output matches the decision you need to make.
Measure the plantable boundary rather than the outside footprint. Paths, row ends, access openings, supports, and edge setbacks belong outside the usable dimensions unless a particular calculator includes them.

Use geometric counts with crop judgment
A theoretical position is not automatically a suitable planting site. Mature spread, airflow, training systems, equipment access, and harvest method can require more room than geometry alone suggests.
Save the spacing basis with the result. If the cultivar or layout changes, a separate scenario makes the effect visible without erasing the first plan.
