Seasons and Greenhouses Calculators

Use dates, temperature records, and greenhouse measurements to plan protected and seasonal growing work.

Treat dates and temperatures as measured evidence

Historical frost dates and climate normals describe probability, not a guaranteed event. Keep the location, data period, threshold, and selected risk level with any calendar estimate.

Inside a structure, sensor placement matters. Crop height, direct sun, thermal mass, ventilation, heater cycling, and cold corners can produce different readings at the same time.

Recheck conditions as the crop changes

Canopy size and outdoor weather alter heating, cooling, ventilation, humidity, and light requirements. A result based on an empty structure may not represent a mature crop.

Use calibrated sensors and record extremes as well as averages when the crop is sensitive to thresholds. A fresh scenario is appropriate after equipment, covering, setpoints, or crop load changes.
